American National Standards Institute   American National Standards Institute
A private, non-profit organization (501(c)3) that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system.
     
iec   International Electrotechnical Commission
International Standards and conformity assessment for government, business and society for all electrical, electronic and related technologies.
     
ieee   Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
IEEE is a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 360,000 individual members in approximately 175 countries. Through its members, the IEEE is a leading authority in technical areas ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace and consumer electronics, among others.
     
IEEE PES   EEE Power Engineering Society
The IEEE Power Engineering Society is a worldwide, non-profit association of more than 20,000 individuals engaged in electric power engineering. The Power Engineering Society provides the world's largest forum for sharing the latest in technological developments in the electric power industry, for developing standards that guide the development and construction of equipment and systems, and for educating members of the industry and the general public.
     
IEEE IAS   IEEE Industrial Applications Society
The IEEE Industrial Applications Society focuses on advancements in technology and the dissemination of technical information to support professionals engaged in the safe, reliable and economic installation and application of electrical equipment to a broad base of process industries.
     
ISO   International Organization for Standardization
ISO is a global network that identifies what International Standards are required by business, government and society, develops them in partnership with the sectors that will put them to use, adopts them by transparent procedures based on national input and delivers them to be implemented worldwide.
     
NEMA   National Electrical Manufacturers Association
Provides a forum for the standardization of electrical equipment, enabling consumers to select from a range of safe, effective, and compatible electrical products.
     
IETA   International Electrical Testing Association
An accredited standards developer for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI); defines the standards by which electrical equipment is deemed safe and reliable.
     
NFPA   National Fire Protection Association
The mission of the international nonprofit NFPA is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating scientifically-based consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education.
     
UL   Underwriters Laboratories
UL is the trusted source across the globe for product compliance. Benefiting a range of customers—from manufacturers and retailers to consumers and regulating bodies — we’ve tested products for public safety for more than a century.
     
CSA   Canadian Standards Association
A not-for-profit membership-based association serving business, industry, government and consumers in Canada and the global marketplace.
